Fact-Checking Policy
Source hierarchy
- Hands-on testing: our own agent-build sessions, with dates and screenshots. The primary evidence for capability claims.
- Vendor primary: vendor pricing pages, vendor documentation. Used for pricing and feature-availability claims.
- Verified user data: G2, Capterra, Product Hunt — current counts linked directly.
- Tier-1 tech media: TechCrunch, Wired, The Verge, MIT Tech Review, IBM Think. Industry-context claims.
Vendor blogs are never used as primary sources for factual claims about competitors.
Capability verification
Every platform-capability claim is backed by either our own hands-on build session or vendor documentation. Vendor-only claims we cannot verify in a production setting are flagged as vendor-reported.
Pricing verification
Pricing is re-verified against vendor pricing pages quarterly. Visible last-reviewed date on every review. Between-cycle changes corrected within 72 hours.
When sources conflict
When vendor-claimed capabilities conflict with our hands-on findings or third-party user reports, we cite both and explain the discrepancy. We do not default to the vendor-favourable interpretation.
