Our Mission
AI Agents Guide exists because the AI automation market deserves an independent editorial voice. Most "best tools" articles in this space are written by the vendors themselves — Zapier ranks Zapier first, n8n ranks n8n first, and Gumloop ranks Gumloop first. None of them disclose this conflict of interest.
We're different. We don't make automation software. We test it, review it, and tell you what actually works — including the parts that don't. Our rankings are based on hands-on testing across six standardized criteria, supplemented by third-party review data from G2, Trustpilot, and Product Hunt.
How We Make Money
We earn money through affiliate commissions. When you sign up for a platform through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund our testing and editorial work without charging readers or running intrusive ads.
Critically: affiliate commissions never influence our rankings. Zapier has no affiliate program, yet we review it thoroughly. Platforms with high commissions do not receive higher rankings. We disclose affiliate relationships on every page and mark affiliate links clearly.

What We Cover
We currently review 15 AI automation and workflow platforms across the global market, including both traditional automation tools (Zapier, Make.com, n8n) and AI-native agent platforms (Lindy.ai, Gumloop, Relevance AI). Our coverage includes:
- Individual platform reviews with pricing breakdowns
- Head-to-head comparison pages
- Alternatives guides
- Use-case guides for small businesses, no-code users, and developers
- Pricing comparison and analysis
Editorial Team
AI Agents Guide is written and maintained by a small editorial team of former automation engineers, no-code consultants, and AI researchers. Our contributors have built production automation workflows on Zapier, Make, n8n, and newer agent platforms for SaaS companies, agencies, and internal ops teams — the same kind of work our readers are evaluating tools to do.
We use role-based attribution rather than celebrity bylines. Reviews are written by whichever contributor has the most hands-on experience with that specific platform, cross-checked by at least one other team member, and verified against primary sources (vendor documentation, changelogs, G2/Capterra, and pricing pages) before publication. Every review is re-tested quarterly, and when we run structured tests we disclose the test setup, the prompts used, and the raw results.
Conflict of interest policy: we do not employ active practitioners who sell competing automation services to the tools we review. Contributors disclose any prior commercial relationships with platforms, and anyone with a live consulting engagement with a vendor is recused from that vendor's review cycle. Corrections can be sent to hello@bestautomationtools.ai and are addressed within 48 hours of confirmation.
Editorial Standards
- Every platform is tested hands-on by our editorial team
- We cite negative third-party data (e.g., Zapier's 1.4/5 Trustpilot score) alongside positive data
- No platform can pay to improve its ranking
- All reviews are updated every 90 days
- Factual errors are corrected within 48 hours of being reported
