Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 May 2026 · Effective: 7 May 2026

This page lists every cookie and similar browser-storage entry the site uses. For the broader privacy context (legal basis, your rights, international transfers), see our Privacy Policy.

Categories we use

Two categories. We do not run advertising trackers, fingerprinting scripts, social-media beacons, or third-party analytics outside of Google Analytics 4.

1. Strictly necessary

These store small UI-state values entirely in your browser. They are not sent to a server. No legal basis required (ePrivacy Recital 25).

NameStoragePurposeLifetime
cookie-consent localStorage Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies on the consent banner. Persistent until you clear it
top-bar-dismissed sessionStorage Remembers that you dismissed the top affiliate banner for this tab. Tab session
mobile-bar-dismissed sessionStorage Remembers that you dismissed the mobile bottom CTA for this tab. Tab session

2. Statistics (Google Analytics 4)

These set actual HTTP cookies and load only after you click Accept on the consent banner. Until that point, Google Consent Mode v2 holds analytics_storage in denied state and no cookies are written.

NameProviderPurposeLifetime
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes anonymous unique visitors. Used to compute aggregate visitor counts. IP addresses are anonymised (IP-anonymisation enabled). 2 years
_ga_* (measurement-ID specific) Google Analytics Persists session state for the GA4 property G-P91J9RTDXB. 2 years

Affiliate click tracking

When you click an outbound affiliate link (marked with rel="sponsored"), we send a one-time custom event to GA4 (affiliate_click) containing the partner name and the page you clicked from. This event does not write a cookie. If you have rejected analytics cookies, the event is sent in cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode v2) — Google still receives an aggregate ping but cannot tie it to other visits.

The affiliate network may then write its own attribution cookie when you land on the partner’s site. That is governed by the partner’s own cookie policy, not ours.

How to manage

  • Change your choice: clear cookie-consent from this site’s localStorage (DevTools → Application → Storage). The banner will re-appear on next visit.
  • Browser settings: all major browsers let you block or delete cookies per-site. Chrome — Settings → Privacy → Cookies → See all site data.
  • Opt out of GA4 globally: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third parties on this site

The page loads content from a small number of third parties:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — for the Inter typeface. No cookies set; one IP-level request per session.
  • Google Tag Manager / GA4 (googletagmanager.com) — only if you accept analytics cookies (or are outside the EEA where consent is not required for aggregate analytics).
  • Cloudflare Pages (the host) — serves the static files. Cloudflare may set a __cf_bm bot-management cookie at the network edge; this is a strictly necessary cookie under Cloudflare’s own terms.
